Dutch WWII resistance member saved my grandfather's life
My grandfather was a WWII B-17 pilot who was shot down over Holland in 1943. One of the members of the Dutch resistance, whom attempted to assist Grandpa in escaping to the Allies, and his wife visited during the 4th of July weekend. This was quite an experience for both my family and his. This is not the first time he has visited, but it is the first time I can really appreciate this man for what he did. It was over 20 years since his last visit to our hometown. Grandpa has made a couple of trips over and has even had a story done in an Dutch newspaper. I'd post a copy, but you'd have to be able to read dutch :-)
