Resurrecting The Champ

So Last week I was driving between Vancouver and Kelso/Longview listening to OPB Radio (NPR). This is one benefit of being out of the office/cube farms :). Fresh Air from WHYY ran an interview with Samuel L. Jackson regarding his new movie Resurrecting the Champ. At the end of the interview I made a mental note, which I hoped lasted longer than making it to the next mile marker, to see the movie sometime in the future.

After completing a wonderful day of riding on Saturday I ended up at St Johns Honda's open house and they were giving out passes to see the movie Monday night at 7 PM. Well I grabbed one and made arrangements for Lindsey to watch Bubba and Shelley and I made a date night.

The movie was great. It is based in Denver and one of the characters is a sports writer for the Denver Times. There was a point where the reporter was asking to cover the Nuggets/Blazers game instead of a fight because his son was a huge fan. His boss about fell out of his chair laughing. Now keep in mind that this isn't a comedy, but this scene received many a laugh.

Anyways, I'm getting a bit tired now.. so not much more to say other than you should go see the movie. The whole father/son underlying story line was great. Makes me think of Bubba and I, and how he looks up to me. :)
